Try one of the many excursions offered to fantastic beaches, ancient cities and locations with historic significance. You can Visit the Minoan ruins at Knossos, the largest gorge in europe "The Samaria Gorge" or the crystal clear waters of Elafonisi Island.

The Island of Santorini

The day begins with a coach ride to the port of Rethymnon. At 07:00 we will depart aboard the ship ‘GOLDEN PRINCE’. On boarding the ship you will be issued with a ‘Boarding Card’ and a ‘Dinner Card’. These must be retained as they will be needed for the return journey. Make your way to the ship’s restaurant where breakfast will be served. After breakfast visit the theater area for a presentation about the island of Santorini. During the trip information will also be broadcast over the ship’s speaker system.

Santorini

The ship arrives at the Port of Athinios at 11:15. Upon disembarking the ship our group will take a coach for an excursion around the Island. We will visit the picturesque village of Pyrgos and finally arrive at the most beautiful town of Oia. Here we have 1.5hours spare to wander through the town’s splendid streets. If you don’t have a digital camera make sure you have plenty of film.

Next on the itinary is a visit to the capital of the island, the breathtaking Fira. Here we will have 2 hours to take in this amazing place after which our ship will be waiting for us out in the bay near the Port of Fira. To get down to the port you can choose a 15min donkey ride or a 10min cabine cable ride. Both rides cost €3.00. Once down to the quaint harbor 3 boats will be waiting to take us out to our ship the Golden Prince. They will be leaving at 16:30, 16:45 and 17:00

Once we are all onboard The Golden Prince departs around 17:15 and heads back to the island of Crete. Present your ‘Boarding Card’. Half an hour later dinner will be served where you will present your ‘Dinner Card”.

On the ship there will be live entertainment consisting of music and dancing as the sun goes down. You will also have a chance to admire the extraordinary sunset. The Golden Prince then arrives back at the Port of Rethymnon at around 21:30 and the coach will have you back to Chania at around 23:30
